We had a conference there
Midmorning tea was dropped in the training room and there was no staff to help with refills or even clear up .we ended up drinking coffee as there was no more hot water for tea
During lunch food was not enough for 65 people booked and around 15 people could not get food and again no senior to explain neither to make plan
We stayed behind after conference to wind up no one came in to find out if we were okay instead long faces peeped.
We left before afternoon tea because of poor service
Everybody looked away when you approach. bad service from gate where we waited 10 min in the morning to no greetings by staff passing by ,staff walking into labeled managers office would pass as if you are not there let alone reception staff who looks away

Absolutely brilliant location, walk down to beach, stunning sea views. Bedroom really big and super clean. The bed is big and extremely comfortable!! Wowza, I slept so well. Quiet hotel but very close to a local pub with live music if you want a bit of " fun time" The breakfast is good and will keep you going all day. Can't say enough about the excellent staff and service. Very good quality towels for the beach and their pool area. Toiletries provided. Just an excellent 3 night stay. This is my go to now, most definitely!! Well done Umthunzi!! Well done! Great value for money!!!!

I had an incredible stay here and I enjoyed every moment of my stay. Their staff at reception, kitchen, security and at the kitchen were very kind and owe some.
The food was mouth watering and their rooms were neat and clean and the place generally is well located giving a very enjoyable sea view. Given a chance I can definitely visit Mthunzi Hotel again, I really enjoyed my stay here.
